L'Académie a annoncé lundi matin la liste complète des nommés dans chacune des catégories pour la 89e cérémonie des Oscars, qui se tiendra le 26 février prochain.
La comédie musicale La La Land se démarque avec 14 citations. Seuls les films Titanic et All About Eve étaient arrivés à récolter autant de mentions de la part de l'Académie.
Parmi les nommés dans la catégorie « meilleur film », on retrouve le long métrage de science-fiction du Québécois Denis Villeneuve Arrival, ainsi que les films Hidden Figures, Lion, Fences, Hacksaw Ridge, Hell or High Water, Lion, Manchester By the Sea, Moonlight et La La Land, évidemment.
Mentionnons que la comédienne française Isabelle Huppert, qui a remporté le Golden Globe de la meilleure actrice est aussi en nomination aux Oscars pour sa performance incroyable dans le film Elle.
Soulignons aussi que le film de Xavier Dolan, Juste la fin du monde, qui a remporté le prix du jury au dernier Festival du Film de Cannes, ne se retrouve pas parmi les nommés dans la catégorie du meilleur film en langue étrangère. Elle, qui a remporté le Golden Globe du meilleur film en langue étrangère, n'a pas été sélectionné pour les Oscars.
